The Racine Scouts is a non-profit organization and thrives based on the generosity of our donors and the success of our fundraising efforts.

The cost to operate and maintain a stable drum and bugle corps averages well over $500,000 per season and continues to increase. Each season we will face rising transportation cost, food and housing cost, while attempting to purchase and maintain equipment.

As a drum and bugle corps operated under the rules of Drum Corps International, all of our membership will be under the age of 21. While this presents us with new and unique performance opportunities, it also presents us with real world operational challenges, as few will have the financial means and resources to devote to the organization. In an effort to transform the corps into a financially sustainable entity that is not predicated on the contribution of its membership, we ask that you consider making a donation, volunteering or participate in our fundraisers.

Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to the success of any non profit organization.

They’re the unsung heroes of drum corps, putting in as many hours behind the scenes as members do on the field. They cook for hungry performers and staff, sew flags, drive trucks, and perform countless other tasks and activities. Though volunteers receive no compensation for their hard work, their incredible efforts combined make an indelible impression on the drum corps activity–making each season possible.

Whether you can volunteer for an hour, a day, a weekend, a week, or the entire summer, there is a place for you. Whether you can work in the cook truck, or can prepare a meal or snack to bring to the corps, we NEED you! There is always something that needs to be done, and whatever level of time commitment you have available, there is a position for you.
